Trust God As Your Saviour
A collection of scriptures in the book of Romans will lead you to God's gift of salvation. "Roman's Road to salvation" is a way of explaining the Good News of salvation using verses from the Book of Romans. It is a simple, yet powerful method of explaining why we need salvation, how God provides salvation, how we can receive salvation, and what are the results of salvation.
Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God".
We have all sinned. We have all done things that are displeasing to God. No one is innocent or perfect.
Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord".
This scripture teaches us about the consequences of sin. The punishment that we have earned for our sins is death. Not just physical death, but eternal death! But it also gives us hope by inviting us to accept the gift of God to gain eternal life.
Romans 5:8 - "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us".
Jesus died for us all! He paid a debt he did not owe and we owed a debt we could not pay. That's LOVE!
Romans 10:9 - "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God raised Him from the dead, he shall be saved".
It's as easy as ABC's! Accept Jesus Christ. Believe in your heart. Confess it with your mouth. And you will be saved!
Romans 10:13 - "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved".
We need Jesus; he doesn't need us, but he wants us. He died to pay the penalty for our sins and rescue us from eternal death. Salvation, the forgiveness of sins, is available to ANYONE who will trust in him as their Lord and Savior. Just call his name and he'll be there!
Romans 5:1 - "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."
Why Salvation? Salvation will give you peace through an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.
Romans 8:1 - "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit".
After accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you will no longer have to face condemnation for your sins. Salvation doesn't give you a right to sin, but you now can be forgiven of your sins as a child of God.
Romans 8:38-39 - "I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present or things to come, nor height, nor depth nor any other creature will be able to separate me from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord".
What an awesome promise! NOTHING can separate you from the love God! Now that's good news! An eternal relationship with God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit!
Now you have come to the end of the Roman's Road. So after reading these scriptures, will you like to accept the gift of salvation of God? If so, simply say this prayer:
"Dear Heavenly Father, I now realize that I am a sinner and need you to save me and forgive me from all of my sins. I accept you as my Lord and Savior. I believe in my heart that you gave your son Jesus to die on the cross for my sins. And I confess this all with my mouth that I may be saved by grace through my faith. Thank you for your wonderful grace, mercy and the gift of eternal life. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen"!
